My 18th Birthday💃🎊🎉

Hi guys! Sorry I’ve disappeared for so long! I’ve been so busy with college and work I just couldn’t find the time to write!

Not so long ago (February 15th to be exact) I turned 18, I celebrated with a few close friends and my boyfriend who I rarely see due to him studying a degree in drumming at ACM which is a university for musicians (which is amazing may I add)! It was great to see everyone and have a catch up over food and drinks😆.

We went to Red hot world buffet in Cardiff and it was lovely! The food was to die for and the cocktails were amazing! We had great service throughout the meal and I even had a cake brought to my table and the staff sung for me, it was slightly embarrassing but it made me feel special! Plus who doesn’t love a birthday cake?!

For the meal I wore a navy lace dress with nude heels and a nude clutch bag. I didn’t want to overdress but I wanted to look nice for my birthday celebrations. I’ll post a few photos below of my night, what I wore and the details of my outfit!

Speak soon💋!

Semi Permanent Eyelashes👀

_20150210_191328

Hello again! Sorry I haven’t posted for a while, I’ve been so busy lately with college! But anyway, I thought seeing as I’m doing them in college I would talk about Semi Permanent Eyelashes!

Semi permanent eyelashes are perfect for those who don’t have time to apply makeup everyday but want their lashes to have volume and curl without all the effort. They are single false lashes adhered to one natural lash at a timetime using permanent glue and tweezers, this treatment takes up to 2 hours but it is definitely worth it! During the treatment your bottom eyelashes are taped down and the top lashes are taped to the eyelid to prevent any lashes sticking to the bottom lashes and so that the false lashes can be applied to the bottom layer of natural lashes. I’ve put a picture of some eyelashes that I did the other day, as you can see they give a very natural look. I personally love these lashes and the look they give! I feel everyone should try them once!

Finding out your skintype and how to look after it🌸

Many people don’t know what their skin type is and how they should look after it. Well I’m going to help you! Through my college course I have learnt all about the skin and it’s functions but I’ll try my best not to get too technical!

Dry skin.

Dry skin is caused by a lack of Sebum (this is what lubricates your skin so that it’s nice and soft) . Typically a person with dry skin will have small pores, tight skin and possible irritation can be caused by certain products. Sadly this skin type will show age lines quicker due to the lack of moisture, sorry ladies!

To look after this skin type you should use anti ageing products that aren’t perfumed to stop any irritation. You should always use products that are for your skin type so that the condition doesn’t worsen in any way, look for nourishing products to keep dryness at bay!

Oily skin.

Oily skin is caused by the skin producing too much sebum (it’s the complete opposite of dry skin!). This causes the pores to become blocked and this is when you get those dreaded breakouts. Oily skin will appear shiny and can feel greasy to touch. But this means that this skin type ages really well because of the moisture it gets! There’s always a silver lining! For oily skin you should look for non comedogenic products to try and stop your pores clogging and causing spots. You could also try using some oily products on the oily areas as this will trick the skin into thinking it needs to stop producing the sebum to lubricate the skin, but not too much as this could have the opposite affect and make your skin worse!

Combination skin.

This is the most common skin type of all, it’s when two or more skin types are present. The most common is when people have an oily T zone (this is along the forehead and on the nose and chin) and dry areas of the skin. This is hard to deal with as you can’t use harsh products to control the oily areas without irritating the dry skin. You should look for products specifically for combination skin to help control both the dryness and oil.

So there we go, I hope this is helpful for those who are stuck with what to do for their skin!

For all skin types I would advise you to use Cleanser to remove your make up thoroughly and Toner to flush out any dirt in your pores. This is so much better than using makeup wipes as they just move the makeup around your face and push it deeper into your pores which is the last thing that you want!

My must have Soap and Glory products.

I absolutely love Soap and Glory products! If you haven’t tried them then I strongly advise you to head to Boots and pick some products up and give them a go! They are so affordable and they all smell AMAZING! So, here’s my must have products!

Sugar crush Body wash and Body Buttercream

s&g 016

Sugar crush is one of my favourite fragrances, it’s so refreshing and fruity!  It’s ingredients include Lime oil, Coolcapsule x , Kiwi Juice water and omega rich veggie oil. The body wash makes your skin feel refreshed and clean and the body buttercream keeps dryness at bay which is perfect for the winter weather!

Peaches and Clean.

s&g 020

Peaches and Clean is a 3 in 1 wash off, deep purifying cleanser. This product smells amazing, it leaves your face feeling fresh and clean. It includes peach and Gojuice extracts and Oxyginseng technology. This is perfect for when you have more time in the night to remove your makeup instead of using a make up wipe. I wouldn’t advise for this product to be used every night as it tended to dry out my skin when I used it frequently but I would definitely recommend this product if you want to treat your skin or have a little pamper.

Pulp Friction.

s&g 021

Pulp Friction is one of my new favourites. I love the scent and the way it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. The ingredients include Figpo water, pumice, peppermint oil, lemonade tree liquid, orange water juice and vitamin balls A,C and E. The scent is a mixture of Frozen Yuzu, Orange oil, Green Fig and Jungle pomelo essence.

Heel genius.

s&g 023

As you can probably tell by the name, this is a foot cream, and a very good one at that! This is my go to product if I’ve had a long day at work and my feet aren’t feeling the best. I like to apply Heal Genius after I’ve had a shower and then I pop some fluffy socks on to let the cream soak in and to keep my feet cosy and warm. The cream consists of Macadamia oil, Menthol, Bilberry and Orange and Lemon fruit acid smoothers.

Hand Food.

s&g 025

Hand food is a very popular product from Soap and Glory. It smells gorgeous and does amazing work on dry hands! Shea butter, Macadamia oil and marshmallow are the main ingredients in Hand Food and it’s just magical! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to keep their hands in good condition or if your hands need a little TLC.

Sit Tight Intense XS.

s&g 024

Sit tight is a body firming serum. It uses Detoxboost technology to firm the body. It also contains Pressocapsular – firm plus ,  Slimergy-3 and Caffeine Complex. This product has a roll on device to apply the product, then the ingredients get to work when you sit on them! So you can sit down and firm your legs! the product also heats up so sometimes it takes a while to start working.

Daily Smooth body butter.

s&g 017

I am in love with the smell of this body butter! It is scented with the smell of the ‘mist you madly’ body spray which is heavenly! Daily smooth consists of Rosehip seed oil and cocoa butter. I love the packaging as it is easy to take on the go if you need to top up on those dry areas this winter. Definitely worth a place in my must haves!!

The Righteous Butter.

s&g 015

Now, This product has had such a huge amount of success and it has even appeared on ‘How to look good naked’, and Gok Wan knows what he’s talking about! The righteous butter uses an antioxidant formula which consists of Shea butter, Almond oil, Aloe Vera, Rosehip seed, Vitamin E and Smoothboost 24h. This is also a very good moisturiser from Soap and Glory!

Orangeasm Body wash and Body Butter.

s&g 014

Last but not least! Orangeasm is also a new favourite of mine! The smell is UNBELIEVABLE! It smells exactly like a peeled orange and I love it! It’s so tangy and fresh! They use fresh green Madarin, Sidian lemon and Sweet Orange peel oils to create this amazing products scent. I advise you all to go out and smell this product and I promise you will fall in love with it just like I did!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoy using these products! I will put the link down below for any of you who wish to browse the Soap and Glory products.

Smokey Eye Makeup Look👀

IMG_20150114_160128

I thought I would share my smokey eye makeup look and tell you all what I used to create it.💁

To start I used the elf primer in green. I use a green primer to counteract the redness that I get on my cheeks and around my nose. The primer also helps my makeup to go on smoother and helps it to stay on much longer.

DSCF5544

I then went onto apply my concealer, I use my corrective concealer pallette from elf. This includes a green, yellow, pink and blue. I use the green to cover redness and the yellow to cover any dark circles under my eyes. I love this concealer pallette as it is so easy to apply and it’s such good value for money.

DSCF5546

I used my Collection lasting perfection ultimate wear foundation, I used the shade porcelain, this foundation has a SPF 20 and is oil free, this is perfect for my skin as I have combination skin and I tend to get oily in my T zone.

DSCF5545

I set my foundation with the collection pressed powder in shade 03 translucent. I love this powder as it doesn’t cause my makeup to look powdery.

I then used my elf eyeshadow pallette to create the smokey eye, applied a matte beige all over the eyelid and then applied a dark gray into the crease and outer corner of the eye. I then applied a black on top of the grey but only in small amounts to build up the color. In the middle of the eyelid i applied a dark green shimmer eye shadow to add some color.I put a white eye shadow in the inner corner and then applied Barry M’s dazle dust in white ontop of the white.

I used my elf creme eyeliner with an angled eyeliner brush to create a cat eye flick.  I love this product so much! It’s waterproof, smudge proof and the angled brush makes eyeliner so much easier to apply! I would highly recommend this eyeliner and brush for people who find difficulty applying eyeliner.

I used W7 wild lash lengthening mascara and then filled in my eyebrows with a brown eyebrow pencil from miss sporty.

So that’s how I created the look! Here’s a few close ups of the eye makeup. Thank you for reading!

Gel manicure💅

makeup 012

I had this lux gel starter kit for Christmas and I thought I would give it a little review😆. The kit includes a UV lamp, nail cleanser, lint free paper, a nail file, base/top coat, fast bond and two colors which include a baby pink and a red.

Both colours are gorgeous but I find that the pink needs a lot of coats to give enough coverage and color. The only other thing that I could complain about is the size of the colours and base/base coats and the fast bond, they are very small but I’m sure they should last a while before I have to purchase any more!

Overall I would say this is perfect for someone who is just starting with gel polishes as it is a smaller kit and is very inexpensive in comparison to other bigger and more well known manufacturer’s.💅

Aussie haircare range.

Recently I’ve heard a lot about the Aussie hair range and I wanted to try it out for myself. I find that my hair is starting to become dry and damaged due to me straightening my hair a lot so I needed some sort of treatment.

I find that the conditioner and the 3 minute miracle Treatment are amazing and make my hair feel much healthier, but the take the heat treatment seems to make my hair appear greasy from how shiny it makes my hair. The treatment definitely does what it is meant to do and my hair feels so soft after using it but I wish it didn’t make my hair look greasy! Overall I’m really impressed with the Aussie haircare range so far! I’ll definitely be using more products by them!💁
